Since I’m still waiting for my new enlarger lamp to arrive to be able to print my latest negatives, I’ll post some more work from my Flickr archive. Initially I started this Tumblr blog to feature only my darkroom prints - but perhaps it might be interesting (also for myself) to take a short look back.
I fell in love with shooting b&w in 2010, about half a year after having started with photography and shot my first rolls of (color) film with a Carena 1000SX. For about a year after discovering b&w for me, I shot a lot of Ilford XP2 Super 400 until I began to run my darkroom in 2011. Since then, APX 100 and Tri-X souped in Rodinal are my films of choice.
"I did not choose photography, photography chose me." Kind of true - as both, my first SLR, the Carena, and my enlarger, an old Kaiser VCL 60 with color head, were given to me by a good friend.
Ich weiß, dass du das hier lesen wirst, Moni - darum auch an dieser Stelle wieder einmal Dank dafür, diese Leidenschaft mit Leben gefüllt zu haben.
These are some of my personal favorites taken between 2010 and 2011 with my Ricoh KR-10x on Ilford XP2 Super 400. See more on Flickr.
